telc B1 Prüfung Vorbereitung online, with the exam format taught explicitly
telc B1 and Goethe B1 sit at the same CEFR level and are not the same exam. Preparing for one does not prepare you for the other, and institutions often name a specific one.

- Two full timed mock papers with written feedback
telc Deutsch B1 is one of the two main B1 certificates in Germany, alongside the Goethe exam, and which one you need is decided by whoever is asking for it.
Format familiarity is most of the work
For candidates who already have B1-level German, the exam is largely a format problem: knowing the task types, the timing and the marking criteria. That is quick to build and it is where the first few lessons go.
The Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer
telc also administers the DTZ, the exam that concludes a German integration course. It is scored across A2 and B1 rather than pass or fail at one level. If that is the exam you are sitting, say so — the preparation differs.
telc Deutsch B1 questions, answered properly
What is the difference between telc B1 and Goethe B1?
Both certify B1 and both are widely recognised in Germany, but the papers differ in format, task types and marking. telc also runs the Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer, used for integration course completion. Institutions frequently name one specifically, so ask which is required before you prepare — the exams are not interchangeable in practice.
Is telc B1 accepted for a residence permit?
telc certificates are widely accepted by German authorities, and the Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer is the standard exam at the end of an integration course. Requirements vary by permit type and by Land, so confirm with the authority handling your case rather than relying on a general answer.
How long does telc B1 preparation take?
From a genuine A2, six to nine months at two lessons a week. If you already have B1-level German and simply need the certificate, focused format preparation is usually six to ten weeks. The trial lesson includes a placement so you are not paying for months you do not need.
